Return and Refund Policy
Thank you for shopping with Octopus Lang and Octopus.
If, for any reason, You are not completely satisfied with a purchase We invite You to review our policy on refunds and returns.
The following terms are applicable for any products that You purchased with Us.
Interpretation and Definitions
Interpretation
The words whose initial letters are capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.
Definitions
For the purposes of this Return and Refund Policy:
- Application means the software program provided by the Company downloaded by You on any electronic device, named Octopus.
- Company (referred to as either "the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our" in this Policy) refers to YLF TECH LTDA, a limited liability company duly incorporated under the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, registered with the Brazilian Internal Revenue Service (Receita Federal) under CNPJ No. 53.120.498/0001-92, with its registered office at Avenida Paulista, 777, 15º andar, conjunto 15, sala 811, Bela Vista, São Paulo/SP, ZIP 01.311-914, trading as "Octopus Lang".
- Goods refer to the digital products and licenses offered for purchase through the Service, including the Lifetime License for the Application.
- Orders mean a request by You to purchase Goods from Us.
- Service refers to the Application or the Website or both.
- Website refers to the Octopus Lang website, accessible from octopuslang.com.
- You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.
Your Order Cancellation Rights
You are entitled to cancel Your Order within 14 days without giving any reason for doing so.
The deadline for cancelling an Order is 14 days from the date on which You received access to the Goods (i.e., the date on which the download link and license key were delivered to You).
In order to exercise Your right of cancellation, You must inform Us of your decision by means of a clear statement. You can inform Us of your decision by:

We will reimburse You no later than 14 days from the day on which We receive Your cancellation request. We will use the same means of payment as You used for the Order, and You will not incur any fees for such reimbursement. Refunds are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our merchant of record, and typically appear in Your account within 5–10 business days.
Conditions for Refunds
In order for the Goods to be eligible for a refund, please make sure that:
- The Goods were purchased in the last 14 days.
- You include the order number or the email address used at checkout in Your refund request.
Once a refund is granted, the Lifetime License associated with the cancelled Order will be deactivated and You agree to cease using the premium features of the Application and uninstall the Application if You no longer wish to use the Free Tier.
We may refuse refund requests that do not meet the conditions above, or that We reasonably determine to be abusive (such as repeated refund requests from the same person), to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Returning Goods
Octopus is a digital download (desktop application). No physical product is shipped — upon purchase You receive a download link and license key by email. There is therefore no physical return required, and no shipping costs apply to either party.
All refund requests are handled by email at support@octopuslang.com.
Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Policy limits any statutory refund, withdrawal, or consumer protection rights that apply to You under mandatory law in Your country of residence (including, where applicable, the European Union Consumer Rights Directive and the Brazilian Consumer Defence Code, Law No. 8.078/1990).
